How To Treat Bacterial Vaginosis Permanently

Learning how to treat bacterial vaginosis permanently would be easy if your doctor would simply tell you the truth.

Unfortunately, due to the inflexible nature of mainstream medicine in the west (and increasingly so in the east), most doctors tend to believe that there is no permanent cure for bacterial vaginosis.

Your BV will either go away by itself or you will have to live with it for the rest of your life, with occasional short-term relief with antibiotics when your symptoms are particularly bad. But it doesn't HAVE to be this way.

See, the reason your doctor believes in antibiotics is because there are many clinical trials that suggest antibiotics work with BV at least in the short term. In my experience they DO do a good job at getting rid of your BV symptoms at least for a few weeks.

Pharmaceutical companies spend millions doing these clinical trials, and they are happy to do so because they make a HUGE profit when doctors routinely prescribe antibiotics for bacterial vaginosis.

When you learn how to treat bacterial vaginosis permanently, you'll realize that there are a variety of different natural, cheap home remedies that thousands of women have used around the world to cure their BV permanently without having touched antibiotics.

Because these natural bacterial vaginosis treatments are available to you from your local health food store or supermarket, pharmaceutical companies don't bother to spend any money doing extensive clinical trials (because they can't profit from it).

So even though these natural remedies have been proven to work in practice and in a number of small clinical trials, there is never enough evidence from large clinical trials for these permanent treatments to enter mainstream medicine. So mainstream medicine is very far behind when it comes to knowing how to treat bacterial vaginosis permanently.

How To Treat Bacterial Vaginosis Using Natural Home Remedies

One example of a powerful bacterial vaginosis home remedy is the use of natural unpasteurized yogurt that contains live strains of lactobacilli.

Lactobacilli are the good bacteria that are present in a healthy vagina. These good bacteria are normally responsible for releasing chemicals that kill off bad bacteria and preventing them from overgrowing like they do in bacterial vaginosis.

The reason antibiotics don't give permanent results is because they kill both bad AND good bacteria. When you finish your course of antibiotics, both types of bacteria grow back over time, but in most cases the bad bacteria grow back quicker and end up dominating the vaginal environment once again. When this happens your BV simply comes back, usually much worse than when you had it the first time round.

When you eat unpasteurized yogurt containing good bacteria, the good bacteria migrate from your rectum into your vagina (this has been documented in a number of scientific studies). When in your vagina, these good bacteria release natural chemicals that not only kill the overgrown bad bacteria, but also change the vaginal environment in a way that helps the vagina's native lactobacilli (good bacteria) to grow back and re-gain control of the vagina.

The results from clinical trials would suggest that you take 150ml of probiotic unpasteurized yogurt daily for best results. There's no harm in taking more if you like.

Unpasteurized yogurt is one of many different natural remedies for bacterial vaginosis. You will get the best results when you use it in combination with other treatments. Yogurt does an excellent job at replacing the good bacteria inside your vagina, but there are other remedies that are better at killing off the overgrown bad bacteria. I would advise you use these other treatments FIRST before you use yogurt.

love your site! I have had BV on and off for years and diet is really important you have to cut back on sugar and carbs for a while to starve those bad bacteria that thrive on sugar and also last cycle I didn’t wear a tampon-huge difference!! ladies tampons are chemical laden and also alter the PH of your vagina which results in an overgrowth of bad bacteria so avoid wearing them and instead opt for a menstrual cup and also be careful taking baths and adding bubbles and soaking to long. The ACV and H2O2 douches work well and folic acid supplement is good too I think this has something to do with the fact that the vagina naturally produces H2O2 lactic acid in the presence of lactobacillus. As for that I have been using Swansome femme flora probiotic which contain the strains Reuteri and Rhamnosus (probably spelled incorrectly) and they seem to be helping a lot because these are the most powerful strains for treating and preventing BV and other vaginal issues. Hope this helps Xo
